A community-led oral health initiative founded by local dentist Dr Kev Chavda, delivering toothbrushes and practical oral health education directly into primary schools.
Alongside community support, the project is also funded directly through Dr Kev’s clinical work. For every cosmetic dental treatment completed, 100 toothbrushes are donated to local schools.

OUR MISSION
I started this project after visiting a primary school where a child told me they were having six teeth removed. That moment stayed with me. I see children every day in clinic, but I also know there are many children who need help that I never get to see. That’s why this project had to go beyond the practice and into schools.
Ilkeston 100 is the pilot. The long‑term vision is to develop this into a simple, ethical model that other dentists can use to support children in their own communities too. This is not a franchise and not a commercial scheme. It’s about sharing what works, so more children benefit from practical prevention.

The project uses the idea of ‘one follow = one brush’ to help people feel connected to the journey. In practice, every follow helps grow awareness, engagement, and funding so that more toothbrushes can be delivered into schools. The goal is always real world impact.

The Goal Isn’t Vanity Metrics.
It’s about visibility, momentum, and showing schools, families, and supporters that this movement is growing.
Every follow helps the project reach more people, which then increases the help and more children benefit.
OUR MISSION
Brush It Forward focuses on practical prevention. That means:
Donating toothbrushes directly to primary schools
Supporting teachers with simple, consistent messages
Encouraging families to build healthy routines at home
Working with local businesses who want to support their community
It is not about promotion.
It is about making sure every child has access to the basics and the encouragement they need.
Transparency matters. This page should show real updates from the project, including:
